Lando Norris Leads Oscar Piastri in Brazilian Practice
Lando Norris has beaten his teammate at each of the previous five race weekends.
Lando Norris narrowly beat team-mate and title rival the Australian for the quickest lap in the dying seconds of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
The British racer, who seized the championship lead from Piastri by one point after his victory in Mexico City recently, beat the Melbourne-born driver by a tiny margin of 0.023secs.
Before then, Oscar Piastri had been the leading McLaren throughout the hour before sprint qualifying set to begin at 18:30 GMT.
The Red Bull star, the only other driver in the championship fight, sitting 36 points behind behind Norris, finished in 17th position as his Red Bull team ran a alternative strategy.
Verstappen's team-mate Yuki Tsunoda was the sole competitor to have an incident, if briefly, when he lost control at Turn Four during the early running.
Tsunoda lost control over the exit kerbs before spinning across the run-off area, and was lucky to get away with just a light touch of the wall.

Hamilton ended the session in P19, trailing team-mate the Monegasque driver.
The McLaren pair were significantly quicker of the remaining drivers, with Nico Hulkenberg's car P3, 0.619 seconds behind the Australian's time.
The Aston Martin of the Spanish driver was in fourth, with the Sauber of Gabriel Bortoleto fifth from Mercedes' George Russell and Alpine's Gasly and the Williams of Sainz.
